Description
Hello. A little bit about me.
My name is Victoria Carr, and my pronouns are she/her. I am an independent therapist based in the northeast, UK, and a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I have been working as a counsellor for five years and have a First Class BA ( Hons) in Integrative Counselling Practice. In addition, I have further qualifications and training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, creative therapies, breathwork, autism awareness, self-harm, and working with young people and children. I have experience of working in schools, the voluntary sector, working with groups and teaching. I have had significant training and experience working with individuals with bereavement.
As a trained, qualified professional specialising in Person-Centered therapy working with adults and teenagers, my approach is underpinned with understanding, warmth, and empathy. I am committed to being non-judgemental and providing a safe and confidential environment.
I believe counselling provides a space for people to talk about their life, relationships, thoughts, actions, and feelings with someone who is interested in listening, understanding and helping. Someone who wants to help you empower yourself for your own well-being.
If you feel this is something that might benefit you, please get in touch.
warmest wishes
Victoria
